Entry #2 - Meditation

Mood: Casually content, moments of slight self-hatred.
Time: 2:03AM

Just really wanted to get on here and write something, need to get in the habbit of writing something daily, even if I have nothing interesting to talk about. So I'll just write down something I've previously pondered on in my own time.

Hmm... lets talk about meditation, often there is people who are simply unaware of what meditation is, and how one can perform such a task. Clearing your mind in todays world is nearly impossible simply due to the fact that we have such an overwhelming amount of information going into our brain, then lets say a human would a 1000 years ago. Alot of the information that goes into your mind, is simply useless, and was put their DELIBERATELY by someone else who's intentions were not in the best interest of the natural evolution of your brain.

Hmm.. dont seem to be in the mood to type, I'm all over the place:P pretty much because I haven't gone into a state of mind where I can think openly about one individual topic. But onwards for the sake of this blog! :P

Meditation is simply the act of clearing your mind of all thoughts, losing complete focus of your physical body, and simply becoming one with yourself. Think of it as putting your brain into a deep state of relaxation, replicating your mind when you are sleeping, but yet, you are not sleeping, you are conscious and will be able to actively think while in this state of mind.

To start, one must get in touch with the sounds that are naturally being made by your body, mainly through breathing. Your brain will never slow down on its own, you will constantly have to think about something, whatever it may be. The sounds being made by breathing, will give your mind something to concentrate on. That's the key, the ability to concentrate on one given thing with your mind, and in time, your brain will naturally start to collectively store the energy you are focusing on.

Steps to losing focus of your physical body.

Step 1. In a sitting position, sit cross legged and ensure that your legs are effortlessly comfortable, do not overlap the legs. Place your hands on your knees and effortlessly lay them on your legs, with your middle finger lightly touching your thumb on each hand. KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT AT ALL TIMES. If you begin to slouch, your brain will become lazy and you will begin to dose off, or wander off trail in your thoughts.

Step 2. Utilize your diaphragm. Inhale through the nose as deeply as you can, and hold in as long as you comfortably can, the first onset of discomfort, begin to release the air in your lungs with pressure, this means, slowly and pressurized. Try to make a little of a hole as possible in your mouth when exhaling, exhale as long as you can, and continue to exhale using your stomach muscles, physically forcing the air from your lungs out your airways.

Pro tip: Buccal pumping works amazing for me when trying to relax, It's the act of using your mouth and tounge muscles in order to act as a pump, pumping air down your throat into the lungs. Which is amazing because you can intake more oxygen beyond your natural inhalation limit, this expands the lung walls and increases overall lung function and capacity, But do not overstretch. So try to "swallow" as much air then holding as long as you comfortably can. But this is unnecessary for achieveing spiritual enlightenment.

Step 3. After several minutes of deep relaxing breathing, Begin to focus on relaxing every muscle in your body. It works best to start from your toes, and imagine a warm sensation manifesting in your toes, and begin to vividly feel the warming sensation slowly move its way to the ball of your foot, then to the arches, then to the heel, then to the ankle, then to moving on up to the calves, through the quads and hamstrings, hips pelvis abdominals chest arms ETC ETC, Go over every body part for maximum results, you will feel amazing, when you reach the bottom of your spine, relaxing your spine while keeping your back straight is very important. Once you've made it up to the neck, eventually make your way to the scalp, and you should be fully relaxed if you imagined it well enough :)

Step 4. Now if you've done everything right, and took your own personal pace, you should feel content with your eyes closed, and should be aware of every molecule surrounding you in that room. Now you need to achieve your goal, This step is different for everyone, from here, you take your own path to achieveing your enlightenment. Whatever your brain desires. But for the sake of the blog, I'll continue blabbering on :P This is where I go after being fully relaxed.

I begin to charge my chakra's. Your body has 7 chakras, all aligned from the top of your scalp, moving down the spine to the base of the spine. What is a chakra you ask? A chakra is defined as a wheel, or vortex of energy. There are seven primary chakras that flow through a human’s energetic system.

The first chakra is your Crown Chakra. It is an iridescent god-like white intense beam of shimmering light, and is the energy of all life forms in the universe. Begin by imagining that godlike beam of light with UNLIMITED power focused directly on the center of your scalp. Vividly imagine the OPENING, BALANCING, and CHARGING of the Crown Chakra located at the top of your skull. With the infinite power of your brain, produce the brightest white light you can in your mind. Repeat the words, OPENING, BALANCING, and CHARGING.

The second chakra is my personal favirote, is your Brow Chakra, located directly in the center of your skull, right between your eyebrows, SLIGHTLY ABOVE EYE LEVEL. This is the location of your minds third eye, and when your eyes are closed, every image you produce in your brain is being produced by the Pineal Gland. The Pineal Gland is of the utmost importance when it comes to the brow chakra because the pineal gland is geometrically in the center of your skull. This chakra is a VIOLET PURPLE it color. IMAGINE a swirling vortex of purple light, swirling in the center of your head. Feel the opening, balancing, and charging of the energy being produced at the Brow Chakra.

The third, is your Throat Chakra, Located in the general area of the adams apple or windpipe, which is a sky-like blue in color, again imagine a swirling vortex of blue light entering your throat chakra, feel the opening, balancing, and charging that is taking place.

The fourth, is your Heart Chakra, is a natural FOREST GREEN in color. again imagine a swirling vortex of a beatiful green swirling light entering your heart chakra, feel the opening, balancing, and charging that is taking place.

The fifth is your Solar Plexus Chakra located in the stomach area directly above the naval, is a beatiful bright GOLD in color, again imagine a swirling vortex of a beatiful green swirling light entering your heart chakra, feel the opening, balancing, and charging that is taking place.

The sixth is your Naval Chakra, Located in lower abdominal area, is a SUN-LIKE, ORANGE in color with a reddish mix. Imagine the orange and reds swirling together forming the all powerful color of the sun. Feel the opening, balancing, and charging that is taking place.

The last, is your Root or base Chakra. Located at the very base of your spine. It is a bright materialistic RED in color, Produce the most intense red light you can in the all unlimited power of your brain, and feel the opening, balancing, and charging that is taking place.

Well thats alot of writing, especially since its not really interesting blog material! But just wanted to share something, so may as well share how I calm the never ending build-up of stress I get.
